(originally member of BAILIE's Party but sailed on the Medusa)

 

Death Notice (Cape Archives) says he was the son of John GOODWIN and born ca January 1772. His wife's maiden name was BEESTON.

Baptism of John Fowlis GOODWIN, son of John and Jane, 2 February 1772 in Gedney-Hill, Lincolnshire

 

Marriage and baptism of first two children not found, but the Death Notice (Cape Archives) for his son John Francis suggests he was born in Reading, Berkshire.

Henry Samuel, son of John Foulis and Mary Ann GOODWIN, was baptised on 28 February 1810 in St.Mary Abchurch, City of London (born 18 July 1809)
