Thomas son of Joseph and Ann NELSON baptised 15 January 1786 in Burton in Kendal, Westmorland

 

Wall Plaque in Holy Trinity, Kendal, Westmorland reads "To the memory of Joseph NELSON of Barrows Green near Kendal who died December 1792 aged forty years. Ann NELSON his wife who died January 1845 aged eighty eight years. Rachel NELSON their daughter who died May 1810 aged twenty-two years. This monument has been erected by their affectionate son Thomas NELSON, Merchant, of Graham's Town, Cape of Good Hope, in the year 1848"

Thomas NELSON of the Parish and Town of Manchester, Dealer & Chapman, and Mary Ann CREEK of the same parish, spinster, were married by Licence on 14 October 1807 in St.Mary's Parsonage, Manchester

Both signed [Mary Ann's signature looks more like CRAKE than CREEK]

Mary Ann daughter of Thomas NELSON and Mary CRAKE baptised 2 September 1810 in Eriswell, Suffolk (born 16 December 1809)

 

Louisa Rachel NELSON married Edward THOMPSON on 13 February 1828 in St.Mark's, Natland, Westmorland. The couple later emigrated to the Cape.
