Death Notice (Cape Archives) says he was born in Redding [probably Reading,Berkshire]  ca 1785, son of Christopher WEBB.

His wife was Mary EVANS, sometimes Mary Ann, sister of Margaret EVANS, who married Richard GUSH

Margaret daughter of Joseph EVANS and Hannah his wife, of the parish of Bradfield in the County of Berks was born on the 21st May 1790 and baptised on the 20th June 1790.
