Sir,
I have lately been informed that it is the intention of Government to allow a certain number of persons to emigrate to the Cape of Good Hope – as circumstances here has not met with my expectations I should be very happy in emigrating to the above Colony. I am at present unemployed. I have a wife which was brought up in the Farming Business from a Child, her age 21 and mine 22. An answer would greatly oblige the writer stating the provisions made by Government to emigrants in general.
I am a loyal and obt subject
