Death Notice (Cape Archives) says he was born in Ramsgate, Kent, the son of Sampson KNOTT and Susannah JOAD

Sampson KNOTT of St.Peter's, Sandwich, batchelor, and Susannah JOAD, spinster, were married by licence on 9 January 1780 in St.Lawrence in Thanet, Kent (Ramsgate)

Kemp KNOTT married Ann WALKER by banns on the 19th February 1814 in St.Martin in the Fields.

George Whitton, son of Kemp and Ann KNOTT, Lamb St, Baker, was baptised 12 March 1815 in Christ Church, Spitalfields (presumably died in infancy)

George, son of Kemp and Ann KNOTT, baptised 2 May 1819 in St.Marylebone (born 17 April 1818)
